Book Clubs



Books are banned all over the country for various reasons. The goal of a Public Library is to celebrate our freedom to read and the open access to information. We invite you to celebrate your freedom to read with others! Refreshments are served and new members are welcome. Upcoming book titles will be announced the evening of Banned Book Club to attendees. It will then be available the following day to the general public. Be sure to attend the meeting to borrow your copy!

Banned Book Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm


Calling all TEENS! We have a Book Club just for you! We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 pm. Book title is announced at previous meeting and available at the front desk or in our Teen Department. Join us for snacks, book talk and bring your friends!

Teen Book Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30 pm


Readers gather at the Broadway Novel Idea Book Club on the last Thursday of the month to review several Book Review Chat at 4:00 pm. Readers are encouraged to bring at least one book title read in the last month. Reviews will be included in the "Novel Idea Book Club Guide at the Broadway Library. Light refreshments will be served along with an entertaining book talk, so bring your friends!

Bookworms are cool kids! Lee County Libraries has its very own Kid's Book Club geared toward ages 8-13. We will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm in the Children's Department. Call our Programming Librarian at 919-718-4665 ext. 5489 for more information. Hope you can join us for snacks, book talk and bring your friends!
