Summer Reading Incentive "How-To":

The Lee County Libraries Summer Reading program is always an adventure! Celebrate summer with us from June 5th through September 1st. Our goal is to encourage ALL community members to show their love of and support of reading each and every day all through the year. During the summer months we add an incentive to keep reading through an engaging incentive program and fun activities based on a yearly theme.

This year's theme is: All Together Now. Look for kindness, friendship, unity, compassion, etc. related programs, videos and more throughout the summer. Remember, all ages are welcome to participate in the reading incentive, so be sure to sign up all your family members, significant others and friends!

The library is offering READsquared to register and track your reading minutes. Here's how to get started:

  1. Register on READsquared by downloading the READsquared app or visit: leecountylibrary.readsquared.com to register and follow the steps.
  2. Stop by the library or schedule a Curbside Pick-up with staff to pick up your Summer Reading Registration Goodie Bag(s) on or after June 5th, 2023.
  3. Your reading level is based on your age. Track the number of minutes you spend reading every day and earn badges. Each level achieved earns you a prize or raffle ticket for your chance to win one of our raffles!
  4. Participants have the option of coming in to pick up their prize/raffle ticket or scheduling a curbside pick up with staff.
  5. Keep reading and tracking your minutes to earn as many badges as you can until September 1st! (Please note: raffle tickets must be redeemed before 4 PM on Saturday, August 19th, no exceptions.)
